This was a happy accident type of painting.
Section from a larger canvas.
I stretched a long canvas size 19"x44"in .. intending it to be a pallet for a very large canvas about 6 foot long which was my big goal in the moment.
But as I kept blending the pigments, the pallet became more interesting than the main x-large canvas.
I never used a pallet that size, it was an experiment. The paints on a flat surface. Too close to see the bigger picture.
Unintentional might be the word.
What I was intending, was simply mixing paints and using that on my huge canvas.
Making shapes, forms, relations of line and color resulting in embedded faces so exactly as I would hoped if I could make something by hope. Yes or no, there it was just the same.
My Pallet became the mystery...
2010 while in the River Arts District Studio
A mystery to me how this happened.. ..for several years.. many times I thought to myself {if I can do what I did here} that would be ripe.
Finally, in Sept 2023.. this new way of painting began again for me. And where I am going in the current progress.
Not much editing beside cropped out from the original and some curve filter tweaking.
I do still have this painting..
I'll try to add more sections from that painting hanging on my wall.
I could part with it if someone is really interested.
